Call for proposals for the 2023 AES International Evaluation Conference are now open

Conference theme: Through the lens

Evaluation has the power to be a lens that transforms the way we see the world. As evaluators, as people, we wear many lenses that shape what we see and how we focus our vision. Our theme Through the Lens invites you to think about how our lenses help us to reflect on different ways of knowing to inform our theory and practice; to refract our knowledge and learning in ways that enable us to embrace diversity in our communities; as well as to refocus on the future and deliver evaluative insights that resonate.

In 2023 delegates and presenters are meeting face-to-face in Brisbane, Australia. Join us as we come together to build clarity and insight, and to share our visions for the future of evaluation.

HOST CITY: BRISBANE

Urban culture, outdoor adventure

Conference location South Brisbane was originally a meeting place for traditional landowners, the Turrbal and Yuggera people.

The Brisbane River is just a short stroll from our venue offering plenty of water-based activities in pleasantly warm September weather. The river banks are a popular place to walk, jog or hire a bike – or just relax with a glass of wine. Immerse yourself in knowledge, culture and creativity in Brisbane’s central arts precinct. Or head over to trend-setting restaurants in Brisbane's hippest neighbourhoods.

Beyond the city, cuddle a koala or relax on nearby idyllic islands.
